I seem to have picked up a virus called W32.Beagle.AZ@mm.  Can anyone tell me what this virus does and how to get rid of it?

I am surprised that your antivirus program can not remove it. Most antivirus programs that alert you to a virus will remove it. Go to Grisoft.com they have a good removal tool.
